New hen standing in crate with eyes closed...help...

Sorry, should have been more clear... you can add a little sugar or corn syrup the water you're going to force feed. That will help if she's hypoglycemic, but she should have fresh water that she can't drown in available at all times.

Yey she ate this morning :) more than 1/2 the dish/bowl of layer pellets & when I went to fill it she started eating again :) didn't see her drink but must assume she did if she ate that much.

Looked up peritonitis definitely do NOT think that's what this is.

Ill check her poo at lunch time & when I get home from work today...but since I ordered the corid already should I still treat her for cocci? Will it harm her if she doesn't have cocci & I still give her the corid?

Thinking back now she ate a lot of grass the first day or two...could she just have had a tummy ache?
