I'm in NJ also!
I have 4 chicks, two ISA and two Easter eggers, one of which is also Gerdie!!
I have two ducks though don't know the breed, think they are mixed. I thought they were Pekin but too lean and the Drake has a ring neck and a diaper butt, that's what it looks like anyway lol
My dog is awesome and I've taught her to "work, watch the chicks" ..
Hens started laying at 16 & 18 weeks the Easter eggers are younger at about 11 weeks right now.
I'm building a run, four posts dug in this week, brutal work!
Love my flock and my cats, pup, have embraced them as well. It's so peaceful to be out with them each day

Very cool. I love your photo of you hanging out with everyone. My animals don't even flinch at my power saw and drill any more.

Welcome!! My dog thinks the chickens are part of her pack and protects them too! Thank goodness! I was worried she’d take them for chicken nuggets! I’m down to three now though cause one turned out to be a roo and my man wasn’t having another crower (our neighbor’s never stops crowing) they’re getting so big though! They’re about 8 weeks now. I can’t wait for them to start laying. Here’s some slightly newer pictures of my gals! I need to get some more pictures of them as they grow!
PS my boyfriend is now outnumbered 7-1! Me, 2 lady cats, 1 lady dog and 3 hens!!
