I also have two birds that need good homes (pickup only)
- Red Crested Red Polish (looks like a cockerel)
-Poor show quality Salmon Faverolle (also boy looking). He has two slightly crooked toes, but walks normal.
Both are friendly and would make very calm roos. They are a little over 2 months old. The Faverolle is free, and I will take any reasonable offer for the Red Polish.

So anyone have Speckled sussex, Buff Orpingtons, or posibly Black Australorps let me know. They are the best chickens for NJ and families, and that are cold hardy and duel purpose in my opinion. Thats my preference with chickens.

You all could keep all those fancy looking chickens....LOL

So far Jerseychickens shows promise because of the breeds he advertises. And thats what I am looking for and its close.

There is a farm in Lakewood that had some breeds. I been there but he had nothing I wanted. RR, Golden buffs, ect.... He lives next to my sister in law. Nice guy. Has lots of exotics. Call him to see what he has if anyone is interested. He advertises all the time.

What about incubating some eggs that way you can order good quality eggs and take your pick and sell the rest.

Welcome! Yeah, they all think your nuts at first. My family has finally warmed up to it. When I tell my Mom how I remember collecting eggs around four years old with her Dad (pop-pop) on his farm she understands. She likes to hear about how I remember those times. He passed away when I was about five.
