I am hoping to go to a college with a good vet school. Any recommendations? I was thinking Rutgers, but it's so big...
It's nice you can all pick each others brains.Vet schools are 4 years and then many new grads go on to do a one year internship. This way they rotate through many of the different specialties in order to gain experience and see if a particular specialty interests them. For the new grads that don't go on to do an internship or know they don't want to specialize, they go straight on to be a GP. After your year internship you apply for a residency which is another 3 years. When it comes to options for a career in vet med, the sky's the limit!!!!
This goes for veterinary nurses too!!!!! 2 or 4 year nursing program (rutgers program is amazing), another 2 years to specialize.
I feel like a guidance counselor![]()
