New Jersey

Okay thanks! im going to have to expand my coop a bit I think before i get anymore chickens lol. but in the spring when I'm ready I'll keep the info in mind!

I always tell new people to build the biggest coop they can - it is inevitable that they will get filled. I'm lucky enough to have a 9x9' coop, so I can have a lot of birds, but it's still not enough! You always want more!

I am in Hope and I should be hatching out some chicks in the spring. I have pure Orloffs and will probably set some EE/Ameraucana and Marans crosses.
Unfortunately I am not able to sex them as day-olds like a hatchery would, so I can only offer straight run. But drop me a line in the spring if you're interested, I will probably start hatching in March or April.
I can vouch for Kahlua- I got my chicks from her. They are all beautiful, healthy birds, about to be laying soon. The Marans is especially beautiful. She had done a mix that produced sex linked offspring. Not sure if you are doing it again, Kahlua, but you should- a sexed EE! Either way, she is definitely someone I would try and buy from again in the future.

Thanks! I am really happy with how the sexlinked EE's worked out and I may be able to do something similar next year.

I'm not sure how far north in Sussex you are, but I go to a farm in Pittstown in Hunterdon county. Good birds and she has a few breeds to choose from.

Just wondering, where and what kinds?
I'm in Hunterdon and currently have Marans...only getting about 3-4 eggs a day out of 10 girls! Maybe looking for more...

The farm is on Pittstown Rd. about 4 miles south off Rt. 78. I believe it's in Pittstown. I was there yesterday to get a Bared Rock and she had a few dozen of the Bared Rocks, a few Golden and Silver Laced Wyndottes, I believe some Black Sex Links, and maybe 100 Production Reds.

The last time I was there back in September, she had some silkies as well. It seems she gets a new batch of birds every month or so. They're good birds, especially the PR. Mine are now about 7 months and I get an egg a day from each of them.

The farm is called Smoke Hollow Farm. If you want I can give you the number.
