new member in need of help urgent!!

Hey guys. Im aussie and new at breeding chickens. And atm I have a sick lavander named Sage.
I found her 2 days ago on her side. All skin and bones. So i picked her up to have a closer look think she was dead (very upset. She is my favorite lavander) to my surprise she was alive but bearly... so I took her back to the house, got all the tickes I could find off, got her, her own cage with plenry of water and food. Checking her every hour. Then yesterday she seemed like she was getting better she was starting to walk amd make noise again. Then I wake up this morning and she is near on dead.. I have her cuddled up with a heat pack atm giving her water every 10-15 mins she seems to be fighting me a bit more now but she still looks soo pale....

I need help please!! I dont know what to do.. and the nearest vet is hour and galf away so mum womt drive me for a chicken!

Welcome to BYC. You need to inspect your birds more often for external parasites. Ticks will eventually kill a bird. Get some electrolytes in her asap. Use some type of poultry dusting powder or liquid on your birds to protect them from ticks, lice/mites. Worm your birds as well. Good luck.

You need to have one of these it helps to put water or meds into the crop and the tube needs to be very secure to the syringe......

If you put some sugar in water, she may drink on her own - sugar is absorbed rapidly, so would give her some energy. Anything you can get her to eat will be great, even if she just takes a little bit. Check her over with a magnifying glass to make sure she is rid of all ticks, look between toes, in ears, everywhere. Do NOT worm her when she is so badly debilitated she couldn't take another assault on her body.

Would your parents let you phone a vet - to see if he could offer advice? I'm sure he would understand that parents won't take a chicken to a vet.
