Hi! Welcome to BYC! I wouldn't recommend having a rooster with just one hen.

Our coop is small and Chicken needs a lot of room to get around because of his gimpy leg. Of course I am concerned that another chicken might pick on him. He may have to be an only child. With 3 dogs and 7 cats and 2horses. Today he is in the house in his crate. It's cold and rainy and crate is bigger than his coop and he has company
