) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? We got our first set about 4 years ago and just recently started with ducks and got our first set of turkeys last week.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 36 chickens 17 ducks and 6 +12 turkeys (+12 coming in less than 2 weeks)
(3) What breeds do you have? Silver laced wyandotte, brahma, rir, red production, amberlink
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Fresh eggs
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
We also do a small amount of farming and I do some gardening. (Small homesteading)
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My husband and I have 4 dogs, chickens, ducks, turkeys. My husband is a mechanic and I work in customer service. I spend much of my spring/summer outside with the animals and working in my garden.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found BYC a few months ago when looking up information about turkeys, trying to decide if these are a good animal to have. I finally downloaded the mobile app and decided I would join.
