Me and my husband are new to chickens.
We started in this March and we have 30+ chickens, 10+ quails & 20+ ducks now.
We have silkies, ameraucanas, brahmas, buckeyes, plymouth rocks, orpintons and leghorns. Quails are all California quails. Ducks we don’t know much but at least 4-5 different breeds.
We got them all from babies and now they start to lay eggs, they bring us quite a lot peace of mind while just watching them, also the joys while feeding them and cleaning the facility for them. We cultivate backyard to grow vegetables and flowers during the quarantine period, even the COVID-19 effected our life so much, maybe this is the real happiness that everyone can pursuit.
We have two German Shepard, one Russian blue and two turtles, together make a big size family. Found BYC by searching through Google, seems I finally found the right community to ask and share thoughts, thanks in advance for other members help, sincere appreciation from Lawrence & Alodie
