My female button quail laid her first egg today! I am STOKED! :D

ETA- I can not figure out how to change my siggy... anyone care to tell me how? I went to "profile" and couldn't find a thing. Ugh.
Awesome on the button quail. How many eggs do you get a year. im still very interested in the quail too.

The siggy is at the bottom of your profile page right below your embeded photos will be your forum signature and an edit signature. you can also make a list of all the poultry you have right below that. its kinda cool.

OOOohhh, now I feel dumb.... didn't go far enough down the profile page!!! RFLOL Thank you.

Thanks, interesting. I am looking at some land in Edgewood. Is it pretty animal-friendly in terms of regulations? In the city, at least in the valley, you can have almost anything and up to 15 chickens, but that doesn't keep the neighbors from complaining

I just maid a delivery to a lady in Tijeras, she had 2 horses 4 donkeys 4 turkeys about 20 geese and like 200 chickens

That's a lot of critters!

How is everyone handling this heat & drought?
Not bad. No lost chickens yet.

I have 3-4 Black Ameraucana hens available. They are 14 months old and laying great. They came to me as chicks from Paul Smith, TX.

I'll see if you still have the hens next time I get up to Fmt. I had to go to Chama yesterday because one of my baby does broke her leg first thing in the morning- I was going to call you to get a reccomendation but I figured you were at work for staff training. I called every vet in Fmt area, only Animal Haven would see a baby goat, and said the price for a cast would "start at $300" and be more if they did xrays!!! I couldnt believe that- my horse vet can do a cast for less than that AND include xrays. I finally got ahold of the mobile small animal vet Dr Johnson over in Chama, he fixed her up for $43.30 (I dont have the stuff or I would have done it myself- I will be buying the stuff next week!) I called a few dr's in Alb but they wouldnt do large animals, and I found Dr Johnson before I was able to look up more than a few vets in Alb. Yesterday sucked, but got better.
