Hello, New Mexicans!

I'm just outside of Gallup, NM. I've got a couple Buff Orpington hens and a rooster that appears to be a Leghorn or Leghorn-cross.(He is white with some gold in his wings...I named him "Oro Blanco") He is very much the "Gentleman Rooster".

Hoping that one of my hens goes broody soon because I'd like some more of the same chickens. (They are GREAT egg-layers and easy to care for.)

I just got these hens last Fall when they were about 5 or 6 months old.

Also have 2 beautiful, kindly, boxer dogs (both male).

I converted a 4 foot square dog-house into a chicken coop. Planning to build another about the same size for more chickens.

Hi Bruce! My sis has buff orps, and she's got a couple who are frequently broody. I'm hoping you have the same luck!

Is your rooster possibly a sex-link? Red sex-link males are big and white, with goldish red in the wings and sometimes the hackles. They're really quite pretty.
