One more comment on the matter of show/pet quality. One of my pet quality minis came from show stock. Both parents came from excellent bloodlines, and were in the 32 inch range. The stallion was particularly nice, very upright and refined, and showed successfully at the regional level. My girl is dishy faced, very leggy and refined. She is also 36" (much too big for AMHA), very cow-hocked, and no one in their right mind would call her "upright." I also know of several minis that have won at Nationals/Worlds, that have half/full siblings that went for "$200 obo." My point is that while bad x bad hardly ever equals good, good x good doesn't always equal good, either. If you are serious about having a mini that your daughter can show, you are much better off buying one, rather than trying to breed one.
