I hope the present owners will give you information on how they have cared for the chickens and horse so you have base to start from. Once you and the animals have gotten used to each other you can make gradual changes in care/feeding etc. Be sure to get info from them on what feed store they use, vets, if available etc. It will help the transition go smoother for all of you. Welcome to BYC. Hope you will post photos, along with any questions you have after the move.

Welcome to BYC and the coop! There's a lot of great peeps here! Feel free to ask lots of questions. But most of all, make yourself at home. I'm so glad you decided to joined the BYC family. I look forward to seeing you around BYC.
 
The horse is mine already, luv him to pieces...the sellers of the property had the chickens but did not want to take them along when they leave; a definite bonus. I have asked my realtor to have the sellers present when we do our final walk through next week and hope to get the info about breed and how they've been cared for. If they are not currently using organic/ non GMO feed I do plan on gradually switching them over. I'm glad to have a community to come to as I'm sure I'll need help! :)
