Hey guys, I noticed a little bit of sneezing going on last night. I caught one sneezing fit and it seemed to be resolved quickly when the duckling walked over and got their bill covered in water. I suspect the issue may be they need better access to water. They're so thirsty, our little water solution runs out all of the time and I have to change it very frequently.
I tried to convert a gallon jug into a bigger water source... but I made the holes a little too big and a duckling managed to squeeze into the jug. Luckily I was right there monitoring and was able to remove the duckling and decommission the new waterer (45 seconds of use.... utter failure).
I'm thinking I can redo the same design with a smaller head hole for the ducks and it could allow them to better clean their bills. Anyone have suggestions for a good drown-proof water solution for some thirsty ducklings?
