New Pet Coming Home Today! (Betta Fish Thread!)

No platys then, I (knowing me) was going to do more research first to. I really want platys with my goldfish.

I'm sorry to have to keep messing up your plans, but you can't keep platies with goldfish either. Platies are tropical fish while goldfish are cold water fish.

I am going off of what I've heard at Aquarium Co Op. It is a really cool channel/website, but their podcast needs work lol. Something about plates lowest temp matching goldfishes highest temp. Ill have to look into it again, I was more looking forward to my goldfish getting extra protine from all those platy babies!

I guess the platies would be eating their own babies anyways. Fish are cannibals.
I have a betta fish (Blueberry, also known as 'Nubby'), two platys, and two catfish to eat food that falls to the ground. So far I've had three baby platys but they always end up getting eaten and I have a suspicion that Nubby's eating them...

Ooo, yay! I found the picture of Toothy!

I've had guppies and mosquito fish... both were always eating their young. :(
I'm not sure about platies... and I think gouramis protect thier babies.

This is making my betta craving even worse! I'm not sure how I would get one with the virus though.
