New pic of Coco and what kind of dog is he?MORE PICS ADDED

My, my- no need to get testy folks!

The pup is adorable, no denying that! No need for further discussion until more pics come in.

No dog has a locking jaw. This is more propaganda and stereotyping, altho it is more widely believed than it should be.

Dogs who attack people are almost exclusively poorly bred, poorly homed, poorly socialized, poorly trained, and inadequately confined and supervised.

I have trained and shown and bred dogs for over 20 years without a single incident, as have many friends.

Too many people take the breeding of dogs far too casually, in particular with breeds like the APBT who have special attributes due to their fighting heritage.

It's a pitt-mix. That's a very common mix where I live, and they all look pretty much just like that. Do you know of anyone that has "purebred" boxers, or pitts, or ? around?
It's very cute.

I have had the pleasure of knowing many "pits", and they have all been a joy. Excellent learners, and loyal to family. Upbringing and training is what it's all about!

That pup has a good look in his eye, and will bring much joy. As for myself, I currently have 3 mixed breed rescues- a husky, a Lab and a hound. All needed a lot of TLC to really become good dogs, but now they certainly are!

That's definitely a pit mix and very cute! We've had pits for 26 years and have never had better dogs as loving companions to our children and ourselves. Enjoy your new baby!

Looks maybe pit mix.. maybe american bulldog/mix.. could be anything really.
he is nice looking tho and he looks very content in that picture.
train him well.. get him around people to socialize him good and treat him well.. you wont find a better dog

As to the "locking jaw" hype..
They dont lock anything.. they simply chose not to let go. They have no more muscles or anything than any other dog breed. They are just simply bigger. I had Pit bulls most of my adult life.. around kids, around my chicks, 4 cats and fish and even my horses. None of them ever acted bad around them. Why? because they where properly socialized , trained and loved and very well taken care of.

It comes down to this really....Socialize, train , love and treat any dog right, you wont have a problem at all.
Any dog breed, unsocialized, tied up in the backyard, not taken care of, untrained.. will go after anything that squeals, runs or otherwise makes moves the dog isnt familar with.,Its called prey drive.

I am not trying to derail this thread. I am just simply sick of the blanket statements that people make about a breed that they have no clue about. Please educate yourselfs with the breed before echoing nonsense and ignorance thats has been fed to you.
I am not denying the fatc that this breed, in the wrong hand is a timebomb waiting to go off. I am also aware that the fact is that they have killed people.. but so have cockers, rotties and alot of other breeds.

I would also have to guess pitmix, we have several pit mixes at the sanctuary and they all look similar in the face to your little guy. I also have a pit Shepard mix that has a similar face.

Pitbulls are some of the best dogs ever! They are loving and gentle and also very funny. Every pitbull I know only wants to make their owner happy.

You can make any dog aggressive not just pitbulls...
