At my vets they have this DNA kit they use which can tell you what your dog has in them for breeds. I don't know the cost though. I guess if you really wanted to know you may be able to track down a vet who does this testing.

My first thought in seeing him was a pitbull. He's very cute. A full-body shot could help, and maybe a weight so we can get an idea of his size.

OMG he/she look just like a dog i had years ago. Spock had pit bull in him for sure the guy we got him from liked mean guard dogs mom looked pit mixed dad was a traveling sells man lol. I guessed he was a pit bull /border collie and maybe a bit of dane mixed he was tall, strong and hyper way to strong for me but he was a sweetheart. If i find a pic i will put it on here

I agree. One has to wonder when pound puppies are identified as Pharoah Hound/Saluki/Canaan Dog mixes, or Scottish Deerhound/Italian Greyhound. Perhaps some people have very diverse neighbourhoods

It's quite possible that neither of the parents are purebred, and the result looks nothing like either breed, but that dog is distinctly Pitbull.

In all seriousness though, the doggie looks like a dog I met in PetCo a couple weeks ago...the owners said it was a Boston Terrier/Boxer mix. It looks pitbull to me though. Especially that spotty nose...Molly's nose was like that and then it turned a solid black with some spotting around it.

Your doggie rocks! What a cutie pie!!!!

Seeing the full body shots...he doesn't look as pitty to me.... maybe a little pitt in there...but I dont' think too much. I definitely wouldn't say half pitt. Looks like he could have some pointer or dalmation.... The nose looks pointery or maybe fox terrier or something... He's a tough one to id.......probably has several breeds in there.
