New Project "Road to Ok" Quilt for My Bed (Top Finished!)

I could fax you the pattern. Wait, maybe I can email it to you, if you want. Actually, you can probably figure it out from the picture (but patterns are a nice quick reference). It's only one page long. It's called, Magic Nine Patch." It's a really old book (16 pages), but I still love the simple patterns, especially for quick and easy gifts.

Isn't it gorgeous??!!.....a quilt like that would make our bed look like something out of a BH&G Magazine.

Wonder how long it will take me to do one of those in a queen size (96x112) and if anyone can calculate it for me .....How much fabric do you think I'd need. I'd hate to get half way through and run out of a certain fabric

Cyn,
They're here! The eggs are here! I picked them up before 0700! They feel cold, too. I have them sitting now. Holy cow, I think you put in a couple goose eggs there .... HUGE ! ! I will put them in the bator later, after they have warmed up and settled down. YAY ! ! ! I'm gonna have Christmas babies!

They're probably not quite as cold as they feel. I wouldn't worry about that at all. You're doing the right thing by letting them warm up slowly before they go in the bator. Did all 27 make it okay then?

Question: will be starting on the five 12" blocks for the pillow area. Since they will be a single row, do you think it would be better to maybe do a Sawtooth Star or similar star (with blue and green 4 patch like in the secondary pattern where the Rd to Ok blocks merge) rather than actual Rd to Ok blocks, which won't actually form a star, being a single row? Was considering that to continue the star theme.

ETA: I have listed my big quilt frame in BSA, but being pickup only (way too heavy and bulky to ship), may be hard to find a buyer. My current house isn't big enough to leave it up in the greatroom and the bsmt isn't a truly finished bsmt, very cold down there and isolated from all the action. It's for about half the price of a brand new one, though, really, it is new, barely used. So, I have a standing oval hoop and just found the legs to it, and will transfer the purple and gold quilt to that. Will take up much less room! https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=272751

I like the idea of the stars Cyn. I have a nice standing round floor hoop to use too, just as soon as the holiday are over it will get put to use.
