New Project "Road to Ok" Quilt for My Bed (Top Finished!)

Cynthia and kathy.....Actually, I lvoe to quilt. I have 3 machines (would love a long arm) and I have an 8 ft. quilting frame. I have made several quilts. Many people here on BYC have purchased quilt tops from me. I am just thinking of another quilt top that I could put together for 2010. I was just wondering if any of the other quilters here had any pattern ideas for me.

So cute! There's something about that black & white small print that just gets me!

Thanks Kathy.....I am thinking on the lines of a quilt that is made with "diamond shapes". I would like to find some fabric with suttle tones and may another with a small floral print to use in the quilt. The bedding I have on our bed is so.......................................................well, old. Its an old comforter that is ugly.....just plain ugly, but it keeps us warm.....for now lol. I hope to finish a quilt at the least by February. I would also be making matching pillow shams. Some one give me an idea of what might be a nice yet easy enough to finish quickly quilt pattern.

How sweet of you! No, that's fine. The newer fabric I ended up with actually worked just great. Such a nice offer, though!

Angela, I love the chicken one and the one you made for your daughter, too.

Kathy, I like the last border alot, but you have already sent me way too much fabric as it is! I have already attached two sides of the next plain border to the quilt and I'll be starting on the blocks for the pillow area, then will have to see what's next as far as the next borders. Oh, look for those eggs tomorrow!

Now, Kathy, you really have been way too generous already! We're getting quite the barter going on here, eggs for fabric, LOL. Dang, why can't you live closer! We'd have quite a time and I'd love to learn to use that marvelous machine you have!

What about one of these patterns? They are pretty quick and easy. What colors are ya thinkin' about?

The picture on the second book by "Rita Weiss" (the bottom pic on the book) I like that pattern. I love earthy tones and I definately would love to get my hands on some Homespun fabrics. I am thinking on the lines of a Country Blue (not to dark) and then incorperate a floral fabric with a small print with a light tan background and then see if I can pull out another color from the floral print that will go with the other 2.
