New Project "Road to Ok" Quilt for My Bed (Top Finished!)

It's started! Finished three blocks so far. Had to stop to do some crop surgery on my sweet little Kate, but she's resting, so here they are. Didn't intend for the effect to be a box of Crayola Crayons, but what the heck? Some of the corners don't meet exactly right (how does that happen when one is so precise cutting and sewing?? Always a mystery to me!), but I really detest ripping out seams.

I agree, when you ,carefully cut, carefully sew ( I am a hand sewer) and it is off..what gives?? I always think back to my first quilting class..the instructor said even a needles width off in a block with 6-8 pieces across will really make a big difference..she was right..and I so hate to take out and redo!!

But that all looks great Cynthia!!

Thanks! I had picked out a darker gold and darker blue for this project, but when kathyinmo sent me some of her stash, there was a gorgeous, deep, almost electric-purple blue, a Jinny Beyer fabric, and DH wanted that for the blue and he picked a lighter gold with a very subtle pattern rather than solid. He chose the burgundy and dark green for the base colors and I added the blue and gold. Gosh, it took me ages to figure out which color where since, when placed together, the blocks form a secondary pattern (star).
