There are 5 more in the incubator from the past few hours of hatching. I'll take them out and add them to the brooder box later on once they have straighter toes and stronger legs and dried fluff.

here's a question....if 19 have hatched so far (by day 27) and they all pipped relatively one after the other or simultaneously, are they done? I've got about 10 more guinea eggs in there with no visible pips, along with 9 chicken eggs (day 20) and they aren't pipped at all either. I was thinking that the 19 hatched a few days early due to higher temps (but they weren't anything other than 99.6-100.2 the whole time....) will anymore pip and hatch do you think? I won't do anything anyways til after day 22 or 23, but just wanted to see if anyone has had such fast activity early on, and then had more show up days later.

I haven't hatched any guineas yet, so idk about those. I have hatched chickens twice tho, and the last time, I had one chick that hatched 1 day before, and one that hatched 1 day after. I believe the first time i had one or two that hatched a day later, but I think the majority would hatch together.

Best bet is to leave them another few days. Even cooling the bator a little while taking the other keets out might slow down the others. I have had one or 2 hatch a day later. I didnt think guinea hens were very good mothers but I have noticed out in my pasture 3 pairs with keets running around them. They are actually doing a good job. One pair has 9 keets that are already feathering out. Then the other 2 pairs have keets that are maybe a week old if that.... There are 25 to 30 of those.

If most of those live I will have about 60 running around..lol Those silly guineas. Jenn

thanks friends! I'll do that and I've had it open a few times to take out the ready ones or to help unstick a stuck one from its membrane. so hopefully, the others are still alive and will pip soon.
