Bought six of them as 3 week old chicks... they are now at 5+ weeks and are fully feathered. No longer requiring heat lamp.
Will be looking to move them outdoors in a few weeks.
I have another 12 eggs in the incubator and am excited to see their hatch!
I would like to run 3 sets of six birds. Each "covey" will live in my 6x8 garden box with their own coop/cage. The garden boxes are not currently setup with any netting but are raised boxes with chicken wire surround.
I may try and get creative and make it possible for the quail to enjoy leisurely strolls in the garden boxes and easily return to their coop.
Im looking forward to uppdating the group and getting feedback. This has been a great place to learn.
