New to BYC

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got my first chickens ever 3 weeks ago today (they are about 9 weeks old now and growing like little weeds).

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Two

(3) What breeds do you have?
Silver-laced Wyandotte

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love watching the chicks scratch and peck. They run to me to see what treat I have for them.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Pets

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
My husband and I have 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 cockatiel, and now 2 chickens.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I stumbled upon BYD months ago in my quest to learn as much as I could about chickens. I'm so glad I did! My coop is a little Fort Knox thanks to the many tips I found on this website. My coop is right outside my back door, again thanks to BYC tips.
