Do you have a coop ready for your chicks?
When do you plan to expand your flock?
I just got 2 chicks this year too! Well, they're not my first, but it's only my 2nd try integrating new chicks with my older birds and it went perfectly. I've found such great information here on BYC that really helped.

I had nothing ready for them. They were an unexpected surprise gift. I went out and got some stuff for them for temporary (using a rabbit cage to house them, starter chick feed, sand and woodchip bedding, heat lamp and bulb). I was told the chicks were 6 weeks old. I planned on expanding my flock as soon as i got everything set up nicely so most likely in the fall. I was told when integrating them that it was best if they were the same size.
