(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes, I helped at my family's farm as a child. I was gifted my 2 chicks on May 17th 2019 as a surprise birthday present.

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Food sustainability, bug management and honestly they are cute to sit and watch and i love petting them.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have a Husky. She was born christmas eve to christmas day in 2009. I have had her since she was a puppy. She loves all animals and small things. She mother hens the chicks
Occupation- none. Trying to start up a small farm/homestead with the goal of being able to feed my household comfortably without having a large grocery bill or atleast break even on what i put into it to what i get out of it.

Googled pullets for sale near me, first site that came up. I have known about it for years as it was mentioned in several beginner farmer tips and tricks guides i have read. I finally joined as I now have 2 chicks and barely a clue about what i'm doing aswell as to be able to plan on expanding my flock.
