These are three chicks we bought at local FS to replace two roosters that we will have to re-home when they start crowing. I was only going to get two, but you know how that goes:D. They are 3 day old pullets- or at least that's what they were labeled as.

Peep -A BR - I really hope she is a girl. I didn't read till after i bought them to pick the blackest one although she is darker than the pic- I used the flash.

My "babies" just got big to darn fast.....nice to see pics of chicks....kinda reminds me. (sad mommy sigh there).

Yeah - she hopped up on it, luckily no poo on the key board. I am worried about the BR now. Does anyone know about what age I'll be able to have a better idea?

You'll have a pretty good idea by about week 4 for the BR. Watch for the feathering: males appear to be black on white with finer barring, whereas females look like they're white on black.

Here's my BR pullet at about 6 weeks:

Here, you can see the barring. Notice how the black is more prominent than the white.
