New world, new chickens

Sarotoo smiled and nodded. "Look!" He said, a bird flew above. It was a vulture. Rarely will they kill chicks but it has happened

Degan was feeling pretty good today. He had feasted on some berries and in the process, come across this garden snake. He'd been chasing it a good twenty minutes now. When it would go to ground he would route it out and then the chase would start again. He really didn't mind if he lost it. Because it was kinda like a game to him. The little thing was fast, he'd give it that. But then if the roles were reversed, he'd be going that fast too.

Velvet cared for the chicks, they peeped and ran about, their wings fully feathered. She pecked at bugs and gave them to the little chicks.

May wouldn't give up. She heard peeping beneath her, she became excited and stood to see the hatching eggs. One was pipped

Like predicted the snake slithered in a crevice beneath some large boulders. Degan watched a moment longer, then conceded defeat. He decided to go see how the hens and chicks were doing. So he head over to King Tut's territory.

May smiled and set back over the eggs again. "I really hope it hatches." She whispered to herself

Degan came across May sitting on her nest. "Good morning to you May. How are you today?" He asked pleasantly.
