New Year Block swap

Territorials are an on-call type soldier,, they train but theyre not full time army.

I like the simplicity of that quilt, is a layer cake like a jelly roll set? Pre cut pieces ? Off to google.
How would that work? Choose a colorway we all use ... ? Its a fun pattern to make by the looks of it.m

Ladies you won't believe it, you would be so proud of me, I have finally figured out what I was doing wrong with my binding and why I couldn't get mitered edges that looked great, I did it finally a beautiful mitered corner!!!! I'm so happy

will post a pic when I finish hand stitching the binding on my newest jean rag quilt. yes I stitched it wrong well for machine sewing I did, I like to finish the binding on the machine but did it front to back instead of back to front. oh well least the corners will look great and nope no taking it off to resew it the other way.

Now I can finally put together one of our block swap quilts, yes I am a newbie to this wonderful craft and wouldn't let myself touch our blocks until I could put one together from start to finish very nicely, the binding was the last thing that kept getting me, not anymore

We were talking somewhere? about a 2 block quilt. This one is very nice.

I really like this. For some reason the BYC site no longer gives me daily updates so I am way behind.

There was lots of flooding from the high tides and heavy winds along the North Sea coast in England. Rosie and I both live in the fens but between us and the coast is a range of incredibly beautiful rolling hills called the wolds. May be they protected us. It the time of the storms, the worst in 60 years , we had very high winds but barely any rain so it wasn't too bad for us. Sixty years ago huge areas inland were flooded on the 5th February which is the day I was born. I was born inthe middle of England in Birmingham where there was no flooding but a snow blizzard!
