Notable characteristics of Baby Aurora:

• I can't get a shot of her back! She keeps pecking the camera lens! Kind of aggressive. But not mean, but ain't scared.
• Notice it is yellower? You really can't see the size difference unless the twins are side by side.
• She sings when she chirps.. lol Like an Opera Singer maybe?
• The back sides of the twins are identicle but Aurora's wings are slightly different marked. Same mom, same dad.

That's it for now. I have to get back to work now. DH is gunna whip me again! (kidding)
I will try to update pix & facts as time progresses.

Today I have investigated into which hen lays what eggs etc etc. I have taken several photos and I will share the results that I have found a little bit later.
very interesting.
The hens are completely different from what I first thought. I will start off with the mothers and then I will figure out the father's once the feathers come in on the chicks. Stay tuned

These are the Possible Mother Hens.
I am uploading these from my cell phone to make it easier to post them. I will edit this post to match the eggs a little bit later after I finish my chores.
These are my "Wild Things". 100% free birds. They have a tree house.Give me a little time... I'll be back..

I will start with the twins. Easy peazy..

Both of these Birds are 2nd generation cross. Daughter of Tweety. They came from the same hatch date. Incubator batch mates. The one on the top is named RIGHTY. She is outcasted with LEFTY the Rooster but shares the nesting box, then splits until sundown. The bottom Hen is nameless. Just a tree bird that gives us 1 egg per day.
I stocked all the free hens today and got their eggs fresh out of the vent.
No other hens lay small white eggs but these two.
If I had to guess, I would say hen below because of the rust covered wings. BUT IT IS one or the other.
Mother(s) of baby Ruby & Aurora.
I have to study the father pixs still and the babies really don't have their colors just yet.
I'll be back in a few with more results for the others.

Penny's moma was a Sunflower.. I think this one. Sunny. she thinks she is a parrot. 100% free but tame as a house cat.
I got an egg from a second generation Sunflower that was much smaller and pinker from..

So I am ruling her out.
Slim chance of being a Rock. But still a chance. We will see.

Righty or no name was wickedchicken6's egg layer. Banty's was a Mottled Java, during the New Year hatch along.
Back with the new Banty & Wicked eggs shortly.
