I think you maybe look the most inquisitive as well. You or Banty chicky. Is it just my imagination, or does baby Ruby have mini-muffs? Either way, I agree! Still the cutest!![]()

They are housed together with "baby termite", the orphan. The 3 of them eat together, sip together and perch together. Glued to each other's sides like a chorus line. They are big enough to be housed with the original 4 but I haven't consolidated them yet. Soon.. very soon.Oh no!! Mini Wick is just like the person...very, very VERY fond of food.
I was hoping I would be an easy keeper.![]()
I keep thinking how amazing it was that I happened to pick a black and white bird!![]()
Does Banty bird and Wicky bird still call for each other and stay close?![]()
They were identical twins at birth/hatch. Ruby was a runt. That was my only way of identifying her, But then she started out growing Aurora. But Aurora started getting darker faster. THEN Aurora exploded in size and passed up Ruby. So Ruby is once again the petite one. I have never in my years of raising poultry followed the development of birds with time lapse photography, so I find this very interesting to say the least. It's hard to remember details of what they looked like Day 1, day 5, week 3.... until a picture graph displays the progression.I've had a terrible time telling Auroradream and Rubysword apart all this time. So Auradream's bird has grey on the top of her neck and dark colored feathers underneath on her wings??? That's interesting!
I have 3 other birds to update progression and what not. @Auroradream26 seems to be the most involved in this silly little project so GUESS WHO IS NEXT?
What a Gorgeous Pullet. 3rd generation hatches are like snow flakes. No 2 are a like. Take a brief look at baby aurora.. Breath taken Beauty.. OMG!
