I grew up in South Fl where we at blackeyes peas and pork. Then moved to PA where is was Pork mashed taters and saurkraut. One tradition I learned from a friend in FL is the 12 grapes.

What this is that you have 12 grapes and as you eat them you make a wish on each one for the New Year.

we do pork and sauerkraut and mashed potatoes and hot dogs. My grandfather said you have to eat pork and not poultry because pigs root ahead and poultry scratch backwards. Moving forward to the new year. Im thinking about making another apple cake to take along tomorrow.
