That may be true, but you cannot fire guns in suburbia or inside city limits in most areas. And drowning is inhumane. So what then? I say, trap and call animal control.

I would never recommend drowning something! I am glad they'll come get the varmints once trapped. Even out in the country - no shooting within 300' of a home!

Unfortunately it is legal to shoot here. I'm 30' from a river where they hunt duck! Also have had deer shot in our little neighborhood, which upsets many of us. Some people here feed them. Not sporting to shoot a deer that has been fed. I neither feed nor hunt them, but hear from both sides.

I have a ton of wild ducks that come to my house every day to have corn. If someone shot one I would be upset. I do hunt but I wouldn't hunt anything that I cared for every day. I couldn't do meat chickens just because I get attached to my animals. I suppose if I ever had to do it to survive I would adjust, but for now, I don't.

I couldn't do that anyway. Drowning is a huge fear of mine....I can't imagine doing that to a helpless animal.
