Newbie in St. Louis MO

Hello all! I am a wanna be homesteader in St. Louis MO. We've been taking steps towards simplicity and independence while living in our urban loft condo and crossing our fingers to make a move soon.

We've had our place on the market for almost three months and had a contract that was to close next week. We had a contract on our dream place, enrolled the kids in a new school and packed up to move...then our buyers contract fell through. While it's been very dissapointing it's spurred me to do more with what I have, where I am, right now. So I'm starting on chickens in the city.
