HI there
So I am new to poultry and farming period. We bought a house on 20 acres and have decided to work part of the land to benefit our family. So in other words I told my DH and he just smiled and said "Yes Dear." So I bought 12 chicks of who knows what they are and 5 burbon red turkeys. Soon I will be getting some goats, pigs and maybe a horse. Fencing seems to be the most costly part of the start up. So thats my quick story in a nut shell.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join our flock. Sounds like you have a great place. Raising chickens is a wonderful experience for children. My granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) loves our chickens. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting that fence up.
