Newbie with laying problems

i think i worked it out. when they 1st started laying we still had our blue orp roo ( blue orps bro ) & since he left they stopped laying in the box. but now that we have a new roo ( a SLW ) the black orp has started laying in the box again. but no such luck with the blue orp she still lays on the perch so it smashes on the ground.
so i guess the old roo was telling them where to lay.

Someone else had this problem and they put netting under the roost and caught the egg. They were afraid that the chickens would start eating the eggs if they kept it up.

I had a young chicken laying under the hanging food bucket... she'd be eating, then plop, out it came... then she'd just keep eating. I had to take an easter egg, lead her up the ramp and into the coop then nest boxes with her wanting to see/peck the easter egg, and put it in the box for her, for her to see where they go...
