Welcome... i vote for getting some Marans... gorgeous... especially the birchen, blue birchen, and blue copper... tons of dark dark brown eggs... good for meat... friendly.. cold tolerant... i have marans, cochins, hmongs, svart honas, and americuana... if i had to pick 1... it would be the marans... and if u have any water near by get some Ancona ducks they are so cool and have lots of eggs as well... welcome!
