Welcome to BYC. Although I have no experience with nipple waterers and ducks I am concerned that they would play with the nipples and make a real mess. Ducks are like that.
Hi and welcome to BYC We're so happy you've decided to join us
In the brooder ducks are just plain messy. They need a deep enough water dish to clean their nares. And they will constantly preen. How long depends on the weather and their feathering. I will have some mid April and they'll spend 3 weeks in the brooder.
Welcome to BYC. There are lots of Muscovy fans here, so you should find plenty of help and information about them on this site. The 'ducks' forum is probably the best place for answers. I wish you the best of luck on your ducky new project.
Hello there! Glad to have you here! From what I understand, ducks of all ages need to be able to submerge their head, or at least nostrils, in the water. So nipple waterers wouldn't suffice. I plan to get ducks someday and have been doing some research... here is a very helpful thread with a link to a perfect homemade waterer: Raising and Caring for Ducklings
