Seriously, our local channels will broadcast all day coverage of "the event" tomorrow. I'm excited to see the snow, but I really don't need 24 hour coverage of it.

Still... let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

I'm happy for you, I also love the snow. My sister used to live in Pittsboro, N.C. and she always got ice storms, she hated that.

I'm not too terribly far from Pittsboro. The ice that we get is the pits. They're saying we may get a lot of icing with this system... which usually results in power outages.

I bought wood for the wood stove today, just to be on the safe side.

I remember her talking about the power outage and hearing the pine trees snap and fall all night long do to the weight of the ice.

Woo-hooooo! It's staying south for a change! Hope you all don't lose power! That was a great idea buying that firewood! Sounds like people are getting hit hard in Oklahoma. Stay warm everyone!

I should have gone with my gut and gotten that firewood earlier in the season because I had to pay HIGH DOLLAR to get some today. Oh well, I'd rather spend a little extra $ than be in the cold if the power goes out!

That stinks, Cindyloohoo.

Light snow began to fall after dusk Friday in central North Carolina. It is the leading edge of a large winter storm expected to bring up to 24 hours of winter precipitation to the state.

"Everybody's going to get part of this, and it's going to be significant wherever you go," WRAL Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel said. http://www.wral.com/weather/story/6917821/

This stuff is coming down hard and fast... our deck is already covered!
