I can't see any reason to register a wether. I personally wouldn't spend the money.

Just enjoy him as your pet... he's a cutie... but, all ND's are!

I register my wethers. Some people don't care one way or another, but I sell all my goats registered (or w/ applications).

I register everything...for those hitting on cost...it's like $2 to register a wether LOL. Then, if you ever wanted to, you could show him, or let you kids show him. Fun!

Could you tell me what is involved in registering a goat?

Is there anything special I need to do when I bring him home. Meaning, should I keep him away from the others for a period of time? What do you do when you introduce a new member to the group?

I feed a grain feed that is specially formulated for goats. They have another mix that is specifically for pygmy goats. Should I feed that to the Nigerian dwarf? Or is the regular feed fine for him?
