I have a 7 month old free range Salmon Faverolles Roo who during daylight is "normal" in every aspect. When it is bedtime he goes in the coop and he gets wierd. He paces under all the perches with his head turned so one eye is straight up. I thought he may have been just checkin out who he wants to snuggle up to but he then walked back outside with same posture. He returned to coop attempted to perch x3 but jumped into a hen each time. Paced again this time walking into walls. Today seems normal but will see how tonight goes. This all started Monday. 2 days after I processed our former yard boss....really hopin this roo would be new boss ,,time will tell. SO any thoughts ??

I think they all don't see well in the dark. And when a newbie perches at night, they act very indecisive and always want the spot that's already taken. I would just keep an eye on him.

This is a new behavior for him. Just a few days. He's always hopped up no problems. He is established in the flock. I hatched him and he became #2 roo in flock a few months ago.
