I'm looking into getting a nipple system before I receive my next batch of meaties. Does anyone have any tip, plans or advice on these? It needs to be able to handle 50 birds at a time. I found this unit (attached picture) on QC Supply. Has anyone used one of these before? If so is it worth the $30 or should I just build my own?

Build your own- buy the fittings and put 3-4 in a couple 5 gallon buckets.

That one will freeze. They make bucket heaters that sit in the bottom and keep the water (and fittings) thawed.

A bucket suspended by a rope can also be raised a lot easier as your birds grow or moved to a different part of the coop.

It also doesn't need a water line to it.

Just my opinion, but cheap, simple, and not as much to fool with.
