NJ - Sussex County Poultry Fanciers Annual Fall Show

Does someone have the link with show rules and entry forms?

I had it and mailed in my entry form but can't locate the show rules and info.
I also switched to a new PC this week so I really can't find anything.

Thanks!

Brenda

Thanks April!

That's what I was looking for.

I'll call you on the road.
I'm planning on leaving at 5 to be there by 8.

So, you'll be leaving at 4?

See you soon.

Brenda

And found Marilyn (jerseygirl1) and Mary (mame1616)

And later saw Gretchen (baregretchen) and Crunchie! (Sorry Crunchie, forgot your first name!)

A beautiful day and show! Can't wait to hear how Mary and Gretchen's birds did!

We're backkkkkk!!! Showmanship went well. I took first of the 'senior' group (I think ages 13-16). Nice ribbon and a gift certificate for $10 to the little equipment section (Kuhl's) with the poultry supplies. Had to be used today. I love shopping.

I picked out a few cage feeders, a nice bowl feeder for the Silkies, a nice plastic waterer, a small quail waterer (perfect for banties), and one of those interesting pop-bottle waterers. Have to train the Silkies to use those...I told the man I was cleaning them dry.

Nice day all around.

i attended the show, event though I got there late (12:30) and left at 3:30 there was a lot going on. It was the first time I ever went to a show and I found it very interesting to walk up and down the aisles looking at the birds to be judged. It lets you see all the different birds there are, I spotted some colors and breeds I would like to add to my flock at a later time. I also was able to see what the birds showing looked like compared to my birds. I have most from the hatchery and a few from breeders. I have a few hatchery birds that don't look like the ones I saw!

I can't figure out why hatcheries can't get some breeds right (I guess they are like puppy mills?)

I met Mary (Mame from Middletown), very nice lady! and saw her lovely chickens and got to visit.

I had a hot dog and 25C cupcake - can't beat that. I saw a lot of birds for sale - even though I couldn't get any today I definitely will look to buy from a breeder in the future. I don't know what my sweet little silkies are but they don't even look like the ones I saw.

Was upset to hear Gretchen (baregretchen) took ill and hope everyone says a pray for her but Mary promised to update us on how she is doing.
