Think back to last spring. Chances are it got warm and the trees budded out then a late frost killed them. We had the opposite here, got warm and stayed warm so the trees, both domestic and wild, are loaded--apples, peaches, pears, even the kewis. The only problem I have been having is the deer reaching up and eating the pears--they have completely cleaned off the Moonglow tree. I doubt bees are the problem. Also keep in mind there are certain varieties that bear on alternate years--this is especially true if you have some of the heritage varieties.
