Oh no! That one had the smallest comb and the skinniest legs!

It turns out that a few more of the blacks I had left also turned out to be roos so I will just give you a refund. Sorry about that! I'm going to try again next year since out of all my birds I only ended up with 2 black pullets and 2 wheaton pullets (one of the silver "pullets" had gotten all her "roo" coloring in by the time I returned from the chicken stock show and the other died of heat stroke while I was on vacation)

This time we can wait until they are this age before you take any more if you want.

Sunny, no worries. I'm not wanting a refund. We all thought that she/he was a pullet. I don't even think you can tell by the tail. This one grew a lovely tail the week after I brought her home, but Tim's birds still don't have tails, yet one of them is crowing. Thankfully, he wanted a roo. I will have to rehome both roos. AmCanyon Stables is going to take one of them, but I will find a good home for the other one. Then, I will try a local source for two more pullets, so my lone pullet doesn't live a lonely life. It'll sort itself out. It's just taking a bit more work than I thought. I don't regret doing this. The birds have been a blast, and I got to meet you.

Yea, he bought one of my roos. I know you said he shouldn't but he had moved the coop away from the neighbor's fence as the neighbor requested so he figured it would be fine. I feel bad you getting a roo when we were so sure it was a she. How are the 2 girls he bought from me? I hope they didn't turn out to be roos too!

Yep, he moved the coop clear to the other side of his property where it borders the local park. He shouldn't have a problem. He still thinks he has two girls and one boy. I'm really glad, since his best layer died from egg binding last week. It's been a rough week all around that way, as I lost my best layer to a raccoon last night. (BIG breath.) That's why it will be okay for me to find two brooder mates locally, and integrate them with the babies before I have to rehome the roos. I can use three more layers. I'm still hoping that my dad only heard one bird crowing. I have only heard one since getting home from vacation. Maybe it's just a pullet with fantastic plumage!

Oh no! Oh poor Kim! Can we go in on an arrangement for her or something? I know it doesn't help much but at least she'll know we are thinking of her.

yeah, for sure! I am willing to go out there to help her, too. Maybe she needs critter help while she makes arrangements. I don't know. I'm only an hour from her. I need to clean out my PM box so we can exchange info on the flowers.
