No. Calif. Chickenstock June 5, Kelseyville! memories and pics, p. 42+

I'm definately in!!! First or second week in June works great for DH and I! I'm OK with East Bay or Auburn area or anything in between. Clear Lake, I'm afraid would be a bit of a stretch. It is a beautiful area and a lovely drive but it takes us almost 6 hours to get there so driving that far and back in one day just wouldn't work for us. Same for all the way to the coast.

East Bay is only 4 & 1/2 hours plus we have lots of family in the Bay Area where we can stay over. You don't mind if 2 ex-Bay Areans come along do you? we are trying to move back
Also I love to cook and can do all the prep for some dynamite BBQ the day before so it would be easy, (if we're BBQing). Pulled pork and ribs are my specialties.

I've been wanting to post in here, but have a lot going on with my mom being sick and some other issues.
I had really wanted to help in some way.
It would be nice if it was held in say the Manteca/Tracy area. There are so many places people could come from that have easy freeway access to that area. Just a suggestion.

I most certainly can't speak for everyone, but Clear Lake would work for me, anyway!

Two hours and forty-one minutes away, which isn't too bad. I'm the sort who kind of enjoys driving and is used to driving to the Bay Area a fair amount, though, to visit friends and family there.

It's hard to find a good meeting spot for everyone when California--even when split in half--is so gigantic! I'm sure we'll work out a location soon, though. Keep discussing everyone!

From what I've seen there are a large # of peeps that are in the "Greater Bay Area" : San Jose to SF to Antioch, down to Livermore and Fremont.

I think this is why we talked about doing it somewhere in the East Bay, it makes it close for the larger # of peeps in the more populated Greater Bay Area while not being too terribly out of the way for those that are north, south, and far east of the Bay Area.

Hmmm... anybody know about this place? http://www.rodgersranch.org/

Never heard of Rodgers Ranch but we were South Bay Folks.
Anywhere in or near San Jose, Antioch, Livermore or Fremont works for us! I know it will be impossible to pick a spot that everyone can get to easily. It's hard because we all want to be there and California doesn't have enough events for Chicken folks. SF is a little harder for me. I prefer the East Bay but you folks do what works for you! If something further away is what happens to work out for you all then hopefully we will still be able to get there. If not, well then maybe next year. Just let us know so we can make plans ahead of time. June 5th is already less than 2 months away!
Thanks!
Sunny

Sunny, I like the idea that Hugh suggested about a Spring Chickenstock and a Fall Chickenstock, but since we're already pretty far south, I think the fall event should be held up in the northern territories. I'd go to both of them. A little road trip is fun.
