No Egg Song?

Some of mine do the twittering sound while actually laying. Others do the classic hiccup song before going into nest. Others just do a prolonged squaaaaawwwwwwk repeatedly before laying. When we go out to the pen with our camper chairs for some 'chicken TV' time, soon we have an ensemble, mostly chittering and twittering and squeaking very low and subdued. Several want up on our laps or shoulders or on the arm of our chairs. Sometimes one will jump up on the back of another who is already there. I'm not sure if we are crazier than them or not! It is nothing for one of us to be out there doing something and when we stoop over, wham! We suddenly have a chicken on our back or shoulder. I had one jump on the back of another that I was cuddling just this afternoon whild I was standing there. She wanted to make the scene too.

I think I need springtime with all of it's chores to come early to rescue me from this idiocy!
