No Electricity And Babys

I know this doesnt have anything to do with this post but I couldnt find any other wayt o post this, Okay I have a chicken Egg that i got from the Store that is fertilized and im wondering do any of you think they will hatch? I have the Egg wrapped up in a towel and is on a heating pad in a box so the Egg is warm and the right temp. I try to keep the room sort of dark. But i have to go back to work ( Just found out, I was on Vacation ) and their is No way that I can plug the Heat Pad in at my work. I dont want to leave the Egg alone at home because I dont want a fire to start with the heat pad. So how can I keep the chick warm all day? I work 9 hours a day and we dont always have hot water ( We are having Problems with it ). Please Help!! Thank You so Much !
P.S. I know the Egg may not hatch but I have heard stories of them hatching Any Ways so i'm trying it.

without a proper incubator, you're better off eating that egg.

Sorry but this is also a pigeon fourm. How do you know it's fertilized, most arn't.

two type of birds .....nest stayers and nest leaver. pigeon are nest stayer(stay in nest and feed by parents) chicken are nest leaver (leave nest and learn to eat ) mothers just keep them warm.

not to be mean, but its cruel to try to hatch a chick this way great odds it will die, in the shell or soon after hatching

agreed, its nearly inhumane to try to keep a bird alive without electricity or a mom.... you're better off sauteeing up some onion and mushrooms and cracking that egg into an omelette! haha.
