"Nogg" chicken house-RIDICULOUS!

Sorry, but those dimensions for ventilation seem quite inadequate to me. I try to allow for at least 144 square inches of ventilation per chicken. 300 square centimeters of vent isn't even sufficient for the occupancy of a single chicken, in my opinion. And I'd also be concerned that the vent design would allow rain to be easily blown down into the coop.

I don't see the dimensions of the coop, but does it have at least 4 square feet of space per chicken?

It's beautiful to look at certainly, but in my opinion form must follow function.

The manufacture lives in England. Even in the summer, when I have been there, it is cooler and damper than in michigan. Though the temp through out the year I think is more temperate than what I have in Michigan, on average it is damp and cool there, and a lot less sun. There are lots of designs that work for some areas and not others. What works in the south wont work in Michigan. I think the look of things in your yard is important. I need and want my yard to look good. I think if you had a couple smaller hens it would work great and look great also.

I take back what I said about cedar; aged & dried, as it must be to work it, seems to be fine. But I still think Teak or Koa would be awesome if a bit more pricey. I'd love to buy one to try. I haven't found pricing info yet.
And a matching/coordinating run, as someone mentioned, for those who can't free range, would be a logical next step but lets let him get this off the ground first
