Normal Chick behavior

My chicks are now 3 weeks old.. They are trying to fly all over and run lol. But my question is... Do they normally try to jump up and fly land on each others heads????? They do it constantly, one more than the other.. I only have 2. I'm afraid I have a rooster! This seems like a rooster move to me. Am I nuts? Is this normal?? What's normal? I've never had chicks before lol

I am new to this, but I asked this same question. I have 9 hens and 1 possible roo, but they all do this and they say it is them establishing a pecking order and laying out who is the top bird. It is very entertaining to watch as they will get up a running start at one of the other chicks then stop and then all the other hens start doing it, but it is very normal. They even do the whole jumping up thing and kick their feet at the other sparring each other.

YES! Sparring is what I'm trying to describe! They or one does it A LOT!! Does that mean it's a rooster???? Or do pullets spar also?!?
I'm so confused....

All my hens do it as well. They also like to sit up on the perch and wait for one to walk under them and then jump on top of them. Funny little boogers.

LOL!!! OHH great!! Cuz I was really really hoping I didnt have a rooster!! Glad I still have a chance for hens!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP ~ and funny little stories! SOOO cute!

I have 2 chicks, 4 days old and they are very funny to watch. They keep pecking at their poop ( I mean they peck at everything) but is it ok for them to do it to their little poop pieces? I change the paper towels once a day but they go alot!

I have yellow meat birds with baby jersey giants. The yellow ones seem to be bullying my JGs. Should I let them work it out or stand over them policing their behavior....lol.

I hate seeing them be so mean

The Cornish X we have raised in the past have been very docile. I have always raised them separately though due to the feed issue and manure production. You have to separate them at some point so no time like the present.
