Normal Chicken owner behavior??

You kidding? Once my husband caught me stealing scraps from my plate at a really fancy French bistro (all dressed up, as you do) because, and I quote, "the chickens might like it".

On cold days I make broth just so they can have all the nice hot veggies and bones for the day to keep them warm.

Yeah...it subsides...

My feed bill is not near as high as my horse feed bill was when i raised horses , i went threw a ton of feed a week with them back in 2007.

Seriously! I already used one of the older pics posted by Zazouse in my defense. My husband was suitably impressed and said, "Fine. Get a few more if you want, but not as many as that."

as soon as i saw this pic. and i had not even gotten to the other post i was calling DH in to look at it... just so he knows what i have gotten myself into...i have fever

and what to be prepared for! i started with 4 BR pullets in august - i have 18 now - i figure at this rate - 4 new chickens a month - 12 months that should only be like 20 new chickens total right - i cant count chicks either, they are to small so when i get some of those they wont really be here... is this that new chicken math i have been hearing about?

CMV: im glad your DH reacted so well, mine just turned and walked away! they dont have the fever!
